Description: A species of non-corporeal, parasitic aliens have come to Earth from planet to planet in search of hosts and have essentially taken over the human race. It is thought that all memories of the host person are gone once inside a corpse. A few free people stay concealed from them, forming a band of opposition. When an alien seeker captures a girl named Melanie and places a Wanderer in her body, she hopes to find out where the remaining people are gathered, but Melanie, a strong fighter capable of conversing in her commanded body with the alien, persuades the Wanderer to say nothing. Disappointed by the absence of advancement (although suspecting human empathy), the Seeker tells the Wanderer that she is going to be separated and put in a fresh home as she enters Melanie herself. With human lives at risk, Melanie persuades Wanderer to run away and hide with people, but finding them doesn't imply they're going to allow an alien existence among them.
